The Malakoff Tigers will face their most difficult challenge of the playoffs when they face the undefeated West Trojans 2 p.m. Friday at E.H. Hanby Stadium in Mesquite.

"They're really good at what they do," said Malakoff Head Coach Jamie Driskell. "One thing we've noticed is their kids play extremely hard. They fly around defensively, they really block you and stay on you offensively."

"We have to match their intensity," Coach Driskell said. "Our kids have got to fly around and play fast. They play really fast. It is going to be a fun game to watch."

Malakoff is on a roll having won its first two playoff games against Maypearl and Pottsboro by a combined score of 101-0, while West knocked off Fairfield and Mineola.

Malakoff Tiger fans have done a great job traveling to playoff games and making noise and the Tigers are going to need that energy again this Friday afternoon.

"These kids deserve to have a big crowd," said Coach Driskell. "Hopefully, everybody is full of turkey and wanting to get out of the house a little bit and come watch a little football. These kids love seeing a big crowd and it sure gets them going, so hopefully, people can turn out and be careful coming."
