We started fast in this podcast because of a scam going around Henderson County. Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said scammers are posing as employees from Direct TV and say you can lower your bill if you pay three months in advance using eBay cards.

"Direct TV has no ties with this," Hillhouse said. "It is totally, 100 percent a scam."

After that, the discuss:

-- STATS (2:14): This week's stats.

-- BURGLARY ARREST (3:18): A neighbor used his dog to hold a burglary suspect for sheriff's deputies. We also discuss the definition of burglary, the most common kind, and how prevalent it is right now.

-- DRUG BUST (8:12): A traffic stop led to more than 100 grams of methamphetamine. That is equivalent to about 800 uses. We also discuss the state of methamphetamine in the region right now.

-- JAIL ACADEMY (11:33): Henderson County had 10 members of its jail academy graduate Friday. All 10 passed their state exam on Monday.

-- TIPS (15:47): Send your tips to the Sheriff by messaging the Henderson County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, calling the Sheriff's Office at 903-675-5128, or Crime Stoppers at 800-545-TIPS.
