Last week's winter storm created an environment few Texans have ever experienced before, and that goes for the folks at the Henderson County Sheriff's Office. In this interview, Sheriff Botie Hillhouse talks about how the Sheriff's Office dealt with the multiple challenges it faced.

Some of the topics included:

-- Stats (:32): Arrests were understandably down, but there are still close to 400 inmates in the jail.

-- Emergency Operations Center/Driving on the Ice (2:24): The County put its emergency management plan into effect, including opening the Emergency Operations Center. The Sheriff's Office also learned some lessons about driving in winter weather.

-- Fatality (4:35): At least one person died because of the weather, according to the Sheriff.

-- Losing Water in the Jail (5:34): With nearly 400 inmates, losing water in the jail was a serious issue. Sheriff Hillhouse discusses how they dealt with the problem with the help of the Murchison Fire Department and Hope Springs Water.

-- Warming Shelters (10:55): Henderson County opened three warming shelters through the Emergency Operations Center.

-- 911 Went Out (12:38): When the 911 system went down around the county, emergency calls shifted first to Anderson County. But then Anderson County went out and calls got shifted again to Cherokee County.

-- Lessons Learned (15:40): What did the County learn from last week?
