Because of COVID quarantine, Sheriff Botie Hillhouse and I missed our regular interview the past couple of weeks. We caught up this week and talked about:
-- Stats (:33): The Orange County inmates are gone, but there are still plenty of out-of-county inmates bringing money into the county.
-- Death Investigation (2:30): The Sheriff's Office is playing the waiting game in the investigation of a woman found dead by the side of the road outside of Brownsboro.
-- High Speed Pursuit (6:56): A pair of drug dealers led law enforcement on a long pursuit that went through several jurisdictions.
-- New Deputy at Maggie's House (11:16): Commissioners Court approved assigning a deputy full-time to the Maggie's House Child Advocacy Center. This is an important move and involved the joint efforts of the Henderson County Help Center, the Sheriff's Office, the County Attorney and District Attorney, and Commissioners Court.
