The Cain Center held its Grand Re-Opening Tuesday night and a huge crowd turned out to see how the facility looks.
There was live music in three locations, food, desserts, and door prizes throughout the Cain Center.
Hundreds of people attended, took tours, and signed up for memberships.
The Cain Center's doors will open for real Monday.

BURN BAN ENDED
Henderson County Commissioners did not extend the burn ban during Commissioners Court Tuesday.
The Henderson County Fire Marshal's Office posted on Facebook:
Please be careful burning and remember you must stay with your fires at all times and have a water source available. Leaving a fire unattended is illegal. You are responsible for your fire and if property damage results from your fire you can be held responsible criminally.

The Athens Police Department has had several recent encounters with counterfeit money being passed at local businesses. All businesses should be on alert for counterfeits.

The Athens Police Department, Keep Athens Beautiful and the Drug Enforcement Administration is hosting a National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day this Saturday, Oct. 23. This is an opportunity for those who have accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs to safely dispose of those medications.

First-grade students at South Athens Elementary recently dissected owl pellets. The pellets are the indigestible parts of an owl’s meal — such as fur, bones and feathers — which form into small masses that are regurgitated by the bird.
