Voting Now Open for 'Dancing for the Stars'

It’s time to pick your favorite dance team!

Voting is now open for the second annual Dancing for the Stars fundraiser from Stage Notes Academy of Performing Arts, and once again local community members are stepping way outside their comfort zones to support the arts in East Texas.

The event features local personalities paired with dance coaches as they compete for votes from the community. Every $1 donated counts as one vote, with a $10 minimum donation. This year’s event is scheduled for 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, at The Texan in Athens. Organizers moved the fundraiser to The Texan this year to allow more room for the growing crowd and competition.
