In a heartfelt ceremony marked by deep gratitude and community pride, Trinity Valley Community College officially unveiled the newly named Archie and June Dennis Academic Education Center today, honoring a couple whose legacy of generosity and commitment to education has touched countless lives.
The dedication ceremony opened with a prayer from First United Methodist Church Rev. Chris Harrison, celebrating the spirit of gratitude and generosity that defines the lives and impact of Archie and June Dennis. Attendees from across the college and local community gathered to recognize the couple’s longstanding dedication to supporting students and expanding access to higher education.
“Archie and June are true trailblazers,” said TVCC President Dr. Jason Morrison “They helped lay the foundation for scholarship opportunities here at Trinity Valley. Their contributions have not only supported students in the past but will continue to impact future generations for years to come.”
The unveiling of the building’s new signage serves as a visible reminder of the Dennis family's deep-rooted belief in education and community. Located along one of the college’s busiest walkways, the center is expected to inspire curiosity and reflection among students who pass by daily.
“This is not just about a building,” Morrison added. “It’s about honoring a legacy of love, generosity, and a passion for learning. Archie and June exemplify what it means to give back and believe in others. ”
Though Archie spoke briefly, his words—and more importantly, his lifelong actions—resonated deeply with all in attendance.
TVCC is proud to honor the Dennis family, celebrating their unwavering belief in education and their enduring impact on the community.
“Without their generosity, this world would be a different place,” shared Board of Trustees President Steve Grant. “Thank you—both of you.”
