Time to GO BLUE!
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month meaning it is Go Blue month in Henderson County. Officials from the District Attorney's Office, the County Attorney's Office, and The HELP Center picked up this year's shirts at Athens Screen Print Friday afternoon.
The Go Blue Program is a joint effort that includes the District Attorney's Office, Henderson County HELP Center, the Sheriff's Office, and the County Attorney's Office.
"Go Blue is very important to raise awareness and educate the public about the problem of child abuse in Henderson County," said District Attorney Jenny Palmer. "One of the ways we can stop child abuse is by talking about it and making sure the kids know who to tell when something bad happens to them."
Go Blue shirts will be sold to raise money for child abuse prevention programs. Shirts are $15 each and will soon be available at the following locations:
