State House honors Help Center for 30th anniversary
Press release
Thursday, March 18, The Texas House of Representatives adopted a resolution celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Henderson County Help Center.
The resolution called the anniversary "a fitting opportunity to reflect on the organization's myriad contributions to the community."
"We are honored to have the State House recognize the Help Center," said Executive Director Leslie Saunders. "A lot of people have worked very hard over the past 30 years to help our area residents. This is an important milestone."
The proclamation was filed by State Rep. Keith Bell.
"It's an absolute honor to recognize the HELP Center's 30th anniversary," Bell said. "Originally started by a group of churches and individuals to support children and families in need, today they serve thousands of individuals in the community. The Help Center is a remarkable organization making instrumental impacts upon the lives of so many in Henderson County."
