Henderson County Performing Arts Center Announces New Leadership Appointments

The Henderson County Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) is proud to announce the appointment of Shaydi Clary as Marketing Director and Wes Akin as Technical Director, marking an exciting new chapter for the community theater’s leadership team.
“This announcement to appoint Wes and Shaydi makes incredible sense to grow HCPAC and our community for many more years,” said Beau Humble, HCPAC Board President. “Both have an incredible amount of experience and knowledge in their respective fields. Plus, they are proud supporters and pivotal leaders in our community.”
Clary, a proud supporter of HCPAC and active member, brings a unique blend of creative vision and strategic communication to the role. Known for her work as the Marketing and Communications Specialist at Trinity Valley Community College and her passion for community engagement, she will lead efforts to expand HCPAC’s brand, increase awareness, and build deeper, more meaningful connections with audiences across East Texas.
Akin, a seasoned technical expert with extensive experience in lighting, sound, and projections, will oversee all technical aspects of the theater. His deep knowledge of theatrical production, combined with his commitment to delivering high-quality performance experiences, makes him an invaluable addition to the HCPAC team.
“I’m thrilled to step into this role at a place that means so much to me,” Akin shared. “HCPAC has long been a hub of creativity and culture in Henderson County, and I’m honored to help grow its presence, share its story with new audiences, and advance its technical capabilities.”
Board Vice President Kara Davis added, “Their combined talents, experience, and enthusiasm for the arts will help propel HCPAC into a new era of innovation and excellence. We are proud to appoint them and excited to see how they will grow in their positions.”
