Ready to get into the spooktacular Halloween spirit? Wait Until Dark, written by Frederick Knott, is a suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat play that tells the story of a blind woman terrorized by a trio of thugs searching for a heroin-stuffed doll they believe is hidden in her apartment. Little do they know, this sharp, middle-aged blind woman is more than capable of outsmarting them.
Expect to experience a full spectrum of emotions in this performance—moments of laughter, tenderness, and edge-of-your-seat suspense, director Shaydi Clary shared. As you watch, prepare to encounter the master of manipulation on stage, as the tension and thrill will keep you captivated. Allow yourself to fully immerse in the emotions the cast conveys in every scene.
The production is under direction of Shaydi Clary and Pat Jousan Williams, with stage management by Liz Foote and Kalae Richey.
“This production would not be possible without the tireless support of our fabulous production team,” Clary expressed. “Pat, Liz, and Kalae have gone above and beyond, assisting in every aspect of the show—from working backstage, finding props, painting, and sourcing costumes, to standing in for actors, running lines, and assisting in the tech booth. I am incredibly blessed to not only know these wonderful people but also to create such a fantastic production alongside them.”
Production dates are set for October 24 through 27 with performances at 7 p.m. Tickets are available here.
