This Saturday, July 20, The Tuxedo Cats will be rocking The Texan in Athens, bringing their eclectic mix of classic rock and country to the stage. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the band kicking off at 6:15 p.m. This isn't just any concert, though—it's a fundraising event for Hope Springs Water, an organization dedicated to bringing hope to the world through clean water, improved sanitation, and public health and hygiene education.
"At Hope Springs Water, we believe that access to clean water and proper sanitation is a fundamental human right. Every drop we provide, every well we dig, and every hygiene lesson we teach brings us one step closer to a healthier, more hopeful world," said Hope Springs Water Director of Advancement Amanda Bennett. "Your support makes this possible, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership in this mission."
As you step into the Texan, you'll feel the buzz of anticipation in the air. Friends and neighbors gather, excited for a night of great music and an even greater cause. General admission tickets are just $20, but for those looking to elevate their experience, VIP balcony seats are available for $60. Secure your spot now and prepare for a night to remember.
Hope Springs Water is a beacon of hope for many, maintaining two W.A.S.H (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene) zones in Ethiopia and Nicaragua. These zones are supported year-round through partnerships with local governments and NGOs, ensuring the sustainability of water projects. Volunteer teams, accompanied by a Hope Springs Water project coordinator, travel to these areas an average of six times during the dry season months of October to June. They drill borehole wells, reclaim existing wells, build latrines, and teach essential hygiene practices through a school-based WASH program, which includes a deworming and vaccination initiative.
In 2016, Hope Springs Water expanded its efforts to address menstrual hygiene management, a significant issue contributing to absenteeism among girls in secondary schools. This expansion reflects the organization's commitment to comprehensive public health solutions.
To date, Hope Springs Water has brought clean water, improved sanitation, and public health and hygiene education to 12 countries, with over 85 completed water projects that benefit more than 100,000 people. Each project is a testament to the power of community and the impact that dedicated individuals can have on the world.
So, as you enjoy the music this Saturday, know that your presence supports a mission that transforms lives. Let's come together for a night of fun and fundraising, making a difference one song at a time.
