'Future You' to bring together students and businesses

The Henderson County HELP Center is calling on local businesses and organizations to step up and be part of the Future You event Thursday, Aug. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Legacy Center, 813 N. Palestine Ave. in Athens.

The event is free for vendors and students. Middle and high school students from 13 school districts will be there, looking for ideas about what their futures could look like. Vendors will have the chance to sit down with students, talk about careers, and show them what is possible.

This is more than just a career fair. It is an opportunity to help young people see their potential and to show them the positive choices they can make for their future.
