COVID numbers continue to drop
There's more good news on the COVID-19 front as hospitalization numbers continue to go down.
Monday, Feb. 22, there were 263 hospitalized COVID patients in the Trauma Service Area (TSA) that includes Henderson County. (*These numbers are for the region, not just Henderson County. See explanation below.)
This marks the fewest hospitalizations since Oct. 30, 2020, and accounts for just 9.23 percent of the staffed beds in the region.
Hospitalizations have now either gone down or remained stable for 15 consecutive days.

*Texas separates the state into 22 regions called Trauma Service Areas, or TSAs, for hospital data. Henderson County's region is designated TSA-G and includes Tyler/Longview. TSA-G includes about 960,000 people. The 15 percent is important because it is the level that defines "high hospitalizations" in any TSA.
