Early voting in the Tuesday, Nov. 2, general election begins next Monday, Oct. 18.
Statewide, there are 8 Constitutional Amendments on the ballot. You can learn what those are here.
In addition, there are several local elections including:
-- City of Athens - Bond Election: "The issuance of not to exceed $5,500,000 of City of Athens, Texas General Obligation Bonds for police facilities improvements, and the imposition of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds."
-- Cross Roads ISD - Bond Election: "The issuance of $7,000,000 of bonds by the Cross Roads Independent School District for the high school band hall, football stadium, and baseball/softball stadium and levying the tax in payment thereof. This is a property tax increase."
-- City of Murchison - Mayor/Council Seats: Mayor (Vote 1 - Bryan Wilkins), City Council (Vote 3 - Alisa J. Griffis, June Lynn Mclean, Tammy Wilkins, Dana L. Joslin, Steve Kroll).
City of Trinidad - Mayor/Council Seats: Mayor (Vote 1 - James E. Cook, Leslie Hamm Parker), City Council (Vote 2 - Floyd DeWitt Loven, Kelli Stanfield, Billy Ray Hornbuckle, Samuel C. Adams), Unexpired City Council Seat (Vote 1 - Don A. Brawner).
City of Payne Springs - Mayor/Council Seats and Sales Tax: Mayor (Vote 1 - Andrea Miller), City Council (Vote 4 - Cody Barnett, Ron Spahlinger, Christi L. Hanson, Leif G. Haag), Proposition A: "The adoption of a local sales and use tax in the City of Payne Springs at the rate of .25 percent (.25%) to provide revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets."
City of Tool - Mayor/Council Seats: Mayor (Vote 1 - Tawnya Austin, Tommy Lawhon), City Council (Vote 2 - Mitzi Storey, Michael J. Fladmark).
