56th Farm and Ranch Tour Set For Tuesday, May 17
The Athens Chamber of Commerce will present the 56th Annual Farm and Ranch Tour Tuesday, May 17. This year's tour will include three agriculture stops plus a stop at the Living For the Brand Cowboy Church.
Chamber Director Kristin Willingham said the chamber has partnered with the Henderson County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office to plan the tour.
"Extension Agent Spencer Perkins has been amazing in making sure this is an authentic experience for everyone," she said.
The tour will begin from the Cain Center at 9 a.m. Arrive early and enjoy coffee by McDonald's and donuts provided by First State Bank.
After the tour, lunch will be served at the Cain Center by Danny's Smokehouse BBQ. Gayle Finch will be the Master of Ceremonies.
The highlight of the luncheon will be the presentation of this year's Joe B. Fulgham Agriculturist of the Year Award.
If you don't take the tour, you can still have lunch for $10.
Tickets are available online here, or attendees can register at the door and pay via cash, check, or credit card.
