11th COVID death in Henderson County

In a press release issued Monday, Aug. 10, NET Health confirmed the 11th COVID-related death in Henderson County, an 82-year-old male resident of Athens.
The previous 10 COVID-19 deaths are below:
42-year-old male resident of Athens
56-year-old female resident of Athens
56-year-old female from Gun Barrel City
58-year-old male resident of Athens
68-year-old female resident of Trinidad
69-year-old male resident of Mabank
71-year-old female resident of Chandler
73-year-old female resident of Malakoff
82-year-old male resident of Athens
89-year-old female resident of Chandler
According to NET Health, as of Aug. 10 there are 414 active COVID-19 cases in Henderson County and a total of 647 COVID-19 cases (including all deaths, active cases, and recovered cases) have occurred among Henderson County residents.
“We ask everyone to please follow public health recommendations to control the spread of COVID-19, such as physical distancing yourself from others as much as possible, wearing a cloth mask at public locations, staying home if you are sick, and washing your hands with soap and water for at least 30 seconds,” said George Roberts, Chief Executive Officer of NET Health.
